About Colin

Colin is an internationally recognized award wining Live Event Sound Engineer/Designer whose sound design has been heard all over the world.

Colin specializes in Large Scale Live Broadcast Events, overseeing and co-ordinating all audio aspects of the live shows. He is the Sound Designer/Live Sound Supervisor for both The Brit Awards and MTV’s European Music Awards and is Hans Zimmers Live FOH Engineer. Colin also specializes in movie showings with live Orchestras.

Colin was the recipiant of TPI’s ‘FOH Engineer of the Year’ Award in 2017 and was the finalist for both the Parnelli Award and Pro Sound Award in the same year.

Colin’s Story

Colin’s background is in theatre. He trained at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and was a resident Sound Designer at The National Theatre for ten years before going freelance. Sound Designer for ‘The Brit Awards’ since 2015.  Live Sound Supervisor ‘MTV EMA’s since 2014. Live Sound Supervisor ‘BBC Music Awards’ 2014. Headed up the Live Sound Operating Team for the 2012 Olympic Games.
